Café de Olla

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup Chingón Coffee Pure Coffee from Mexico, ground
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup piloncillo or brown sugar
  • 1 orange peel (optional)
  • 1 clove (optional)

 

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the cinnamon stick, piloncillo or brown sugar, orange peel, and clove.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is fragrant.
  4. Add the ground coffee and bring to a gentle boil again.
  5. Remove from heat and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  6. Strain the coffee into a pot or individual cups.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the traditional Mexican flavors.
